Michael Fekete is a partner in the firm's Litigation Department and Co-Chair of the Cannabis Industry Group. He regularly represents individuals, business owners, and companies, both publicly and privately owned, in litigation involving breach of contract, breach of warranty, consumer fraud claims, real estate, and restrictive covenants. For nearly two decades, Mike represented a national digital and print advertising company and served as the company’s interim general counsel. Mike has extensive experience representing publicly-owned REITs, developers, commercial landlords, and court-appointed receivers in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York in all facets of real estate, including lease drafting and negotiation, and commercial tenancy matters. He regularly appears before various New Jersey Township Zoning and Planning Boards in the representation of clients for various land use matters. Mike frequently represents clients before the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and Eastern District of Pennsylvania, Superior Court of New Jersey, Supreme Court of New York, and various Common Pleas Courts in Pennsylvania. Prior to joining Montgomery McCracken, Mike worked at three large firms and he previously served as the Law Clerk to the Honorable Joel B. Rosen, United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and as the Law Clerk for the Honorable Raymond F. Drozdowski, J.S.C., Superior Court of New Jersey during the 2001-2002 court term. Mike received a J.D. degree with honors from Rutgers School of Law – Camden in 2001 and earned a B.A. from the University of Maryland, College Park, in 1998.
