Michael Shannon is a highly respected business lawyer with extensive experience in corporate law as well as capital markets and securities law. A large part of Mike’s practice is focused on providing Canadian and US securities advice to companies listed in one or both countries. He has significant expertise advising clients in the technology, mining, asset management and cannabis sectors. Mike assists companies with their formation, structuring, financing, listing, disclosure requirements, corporate governance, strategic alliances, mergers and acquisitions, cross-border transactions and migrations. He advises on ongoing reporting obligations under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and registration of securities under the Securities Act of 1933. In addition to his work with publicly listed companies, Mike advises private companies on general corporate and securities matters. He also assists clients with registration and compliance under National Instrument 31-103.
