Robb Baird practice is focused on business and technology law, often for clients with technology at their core or with high growth potential in the startup sector. His corporate/commercial practice includes a variety of transactional work, such share and asset purchase deals, traditional financing and venture capital, and is regularly complemented by contract negotiation. For example, in the technology realm, Robb has advised clients on the negotiation of sensitive enterprise cloud-based agreements and key profit-driving software development. Robb continues to follow fast-moving industry developments such as blockchain and smart contracts. Robb was born and raised in Fredericton, where he studied at the University of New Brunswick, obtaining a degree in Chemical Engineering and diploma in Technology, Management and Entrepreneurship before returning to complete a degree in Law. Prior to Law, he first worked for a hydrogen R&D startup, and then overseas as a project/design engineer for an international natural resources company. Robb’s personal experience in the startup sector has given him a greater appreciation for the business and technology issues his clients face today.
