Bio

Hillary Barnett Lambert is a Member of McGlinchey’s Business/Corporate and Real Estate Section. While she is based in our New Orleans office, Hillary is licensed to practice law in Louisiana and Texas, and she regularly counsels clients on commercial finance transactions, corporate and general business transactions, and real estate transactions. Hillary also advises clients in connection with mineral, maritime, and municipal finance transactions. She advises banks and other financial institutions in connection with revolving and term loan facilities, real estate secured loans, syndicated loans, construction loans, letter of credit facilities, restructurings, and workouts. In connection with her real estate practice, Hillary counsels clients on a variety of real estate matters, including the purchase, sale, and lease of commercial property. She also represents community development districts and economic development districts in connection with real estate development and infrastructure finance and advises institutional investors in the municipal finance area, as well as serving as a general legal advisor to a wide range of businesses, helping them select an entity structure and advising them from startup to sale. Hillary regularly advises corporate and business clients in connection with corporate governance, contractual matters, and general business matters. Hillary brings a results-oriented perspective to her work, emphasizing the collaborative nature of transactional engagements, and the shared desire to, ultimately, reach a common goal. In part, this perspective is the result of having received a J.D. and an M.B.A. She sees transactions from a legal perspective and a business one, and is unusually accomplished at working with clients to surmount challenges and hammer out an agreement that works for everyone. To accomplish this, she serves as a negotiator who advocates for her clients’ interests.
