Bio

Zachary Masoud is a Partner in the firm’s Financial Services Group in Toronto. His practice focuses on all aspects of domestic, cross-border and multi-jurisdictional banking and secured and unsecured lending transactions, including acquisition financings, project finance, mining finance, syndicated and bilateral financings and mezzaning financings. He regularly represents Canadian and foreign banks, private equity firms, and domestic and international corporations. Zachary received his B.C.L./LL.B from McGill University’s Faculty of Law. Zachary gained financial services industry experience as a Senior Credit Underwriter with HSBC in Montreal. In the summer of 2012, he was a summer legal intern at Consilium Law Corporation, an international boutique law firm in Singapore specializing in corporate law in Singapore and the ASEAN region. Zachary is a frequent panelist on educational seminars offered to banks on a variety of secured and unsecured lending issues and trends in the financial services industry. He is the editor of the firm’s Canadian Energy Perspectives blog and a contributor to the firm’s Canadian Power annual publication. He recently presented at the Financing and Security Strategic Day conference in Montreal hosted by Forum Ouvert HS. He is also a frequent present at Canadian universities on courses relating to secured lending principles.
