Bio

Mohamed is a Dispute Resolution Partner at Matouk Bassiouny. Mohamed is also an assistance professor and vice president of the Centre for Criminal Researches at the Cairo University, Faculty of Law. Formerly, Mohamed served as a member of Egypt’s Conseil d’Etat and Public Prosecution (2006). Mohamed is a speaker in local, regional and international conferences, is admitted before the Egyptian Bar Association since 2004, and is practicing law for more than 14 years. Mohamed maintains a general contentious practice involving both plaintiff and defense work, with an industry focus on finance, telecommunication, energy, construction, employment, intellectual property, insurance, real estate, environment, commercial agency, investment and corporate disputes. He has significant experience in arbitrations disputes under the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and the Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (CRCICA). Mohamed also acts as chairman and party- appointed arbitrator in institutional and Ad Hoc arbitrations. Mohamed advised major and multinational clients such as Etisalat Misr, Avon, Pfizer, Zoetis, Novartis, Eli Lilly, Danone Nutricia, Egyptian Resorts Company, Suez Steel Company, Clarks, IFF, Hilton, Mitsubishi Motors Company, Nissan, Hoerbiger, Huntleigh, Drexel, CIL, Misr Sons for Development (Hassan Allam Construction), Precor Incorporaed, HNS Group, Agilent, Syngenta, Cargill, Uber, Doehelr, TCI Sanmar, Emirates International Investment Company and Wockhardt.
