Gianluigi Pugliese has been at Ughi e Nunziante since 2000 and became a partner in 2011. He has consolidated experience in banking & finance, capital markets, debt restructuring, structured finance and financial market regulation. He is also an expert in private equity transactions, mergers and acquisitions and regulation of pharmaceutical and phytopharmaceutical products. Gianluigi has assisted clients in the financial and industrial sector in numerous significant transactions, including BBVA in the public purchase offer for BNL shares; the arrangers BNP Paribas and CA-CIB in various securitization transactions and, among these, the main securitizations of credits deriving from the rental of vehicle fleets; Italian and foreign investment funds in real estate and private equity transactions in companies in the ICT, shipbuilding and large works sectors, industrial buyers in acquisitions in the logistics, components and pharmaceutical production sectors. Gianluigi has also provided legal advice on regulatory matters in the structuring of financing and financial products, including supply chain finance and reverse factoring products, for various operators who were preparing to enter or expand their presence in the Italian and EU markets. After graduating in law with honors in 1999 from the University of Perugia, he was an expert in private law at the Chair of Institutions of Private Law coordinated by Prof. Antonio Palazzo. Subsequently he held lectures on structured finance, share acquisition contracts and unregulated markets, as part of the Master's degree in "Business Law" at the LUISS Guido Carli University of Rome. A lawyer since 2002 and practicing before higher courts since 2014, Gianluigi is a member of the board of arbitrators of ASSONEBB (National Association of Banking and Stock Exchange Encyclopedia) and frequently participates as a speaker in international seminars on banking law and capital markets. He has published numerous articles in specialized journals and contributions to monographs on the subject of capital markets and banking regulation. He speaks Italian, English and Spanish.
