Benedetto Colosimo started working at Ughi e Nunziante in 2008 following several years of practice at primary Italian firms, where he gained experience both in judicial and extra-judicial matters, especially in the areas of corporate and contractual law. His main practice areas are banking and finance, M&A, private equity, capital markets, corporate law and litigation. Benedetto assists multinational corporations, both in the banking and finance sector and in the industrial sector. He has gained significant expertise in international contract law, SPAs, corporate financing, structured finance transactions, having provided long-lasting assistance to foreign companies operating in Italy on regulated markets. Benedetto has held a seat in companies and investment funds operating in the real estate sector. After graduating at the LUISS Guido Carli University of Rome in 2002, Benedetto was admitted to the bar in 2006 and obtained a PhD in European Private Law at the University of Florence in 2008. Benedetto used to be a teaching assistant at the private law departments of the University of Florence. He regularly teaches at masters organized by some of the most prominent universities, in the fields of corporate law, banking and international contract law. He is the author of numerous articles published on specialized journals, both Italian and international. He is fluent in Italian and English.
