Young Joo Cho joined Lee & Ko as an associate in 2012. His practice focuses primarily on Aviation Regulations including new areas in Drone and Urban Air Mobility Regulations, M&A, Cross-Border Investment and drafting various contracts. He has further developed specialties in EPC Contracts, International Trade, Foreign Investment and Energy, Trade Disputes and Investor-State Disputes (ISD) as well as International Public law. Further, Mr. Cho has handled numerous complex matters. His practice highlights in devoting countless hours, sometimes even on a pro bono basis, undertaking additional legal research and analysis to provide the best legal advice to the Korean government on aviation regulation related issues; representing numerous foreign airlines in achieving permission for Foreign International Air Transportation Service in Korea and offering legal advice to foreign airlines and domestic airlines regarding any issues related to aviation regulations; representing numerous international law firms in establishing a Foreign Legal Consultant Office and receiving approval of Foreign Legal Consultant by the Minister of Justice. In recognition of his distinguished service, Mr. Cho received a minister commended Man of Merit Award by the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. Mr. Cho graduated Summa Cum Laude from Yonsei Law School in 2012 and was admitted to the Korean Bar. Mr. Cho is fluent in Korean, English and German.
