Bio

Robert Jensen is a specialist in insolvency, restructuring and dispute resolution. He acts for domestic and international clients in financial restructuring, debt negotiations, bankruptcies and investigations. He advises creditors, shareholders, investors, boards of directors and senior management and been engaged in many of the largest and most complex insolvency cases in Norway during the last 10 years. He also advises Norwegian and international banks in the handling of deferred loans. Jensen regularly litigates cases before the ordinary courts and in arbitration, and he has considerable experience with complex cases within a wide variety of industries and legal disciplines, both as a lawyer and a deputy judge. A significant portion of Robert’s dispute resolution practice encompasses cases related to real estate, contract law and insolvency law. Further, Robert has expertise on enforcement, temporary precautionary measures and arrests, and advises companies regarding securing of monetary claims and other claims. The international rating agency Chambers and Legal 500 rates Jensen in the category restructuring/insolvency. Robert Jensen has served as a deputy judge and was a senior executive officer in the Ministry of Finance. He is a member of the Norwegian Bar Association’s Committee on Insolvency law and is a frequent speaker at seminars and conferences, as well as lecturing for fellow lawyers within the insolvency law community and for law students on insolvency, claims and property Law.
