Evan Kanter practice focuses on M&A, capital raisings, joint ventures, and general corporate law and business matters. He has achieved successful results for clients while working under tight deadlines and represents a broad range of clients at all stages of development including private equity funds, portfolio companies, start-up companies, and private investors. Evan's industry experience also includes numerous transactions in the gaming, hospitality, and technology sectors. Before joining Jones Day in 2019, Evan represented The Stars Group in its transaction with Eldorado Resorts for online betting and gaming market access, its acquisition and disposition of Cadillac Jack, a leading supplier of products and technology for the global gaming market, and a variety of other transactions. He also represented Hard Rock International in its acquisition of the hotel/casino in Atlantic City formerly known as the Trump Taj Mahal, its investment in the Meadowlands Racetrack in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and its acquisition of casino and hotel/casino rights in the western United States and in several key international markets from BREF HR. Evan's practice has led him to represent a broad range of clients at all stages of development including public companies, private equity funds and portfolio companies, start-up companies, and private investors.
