Dr. Ulrich Brauer, Partner-in-Charge of the Düsseldorf Office, has more than 20 years of experience advising clients on domestic and cross-border M&A, joint ventures, and other corporate and transactional matters. He has extensive experience representing clients in the automotive, pharmaceutical, renewable energy, and hotel and leisure industries and frequently leads the German side of China-Germany transactions. Ulrich is advising Pandox Group on various hotel transactions in Continental Europe. Pandox's transaction in connection with the €415 million (US$440 million) acquisition from Invesco, which Ulrich and his team advised, was awarded "Deal of the Year 2017" by the Hotel Investment Conference Europe. He also recently advised Goldman Sachs on its acquisition and divestiture of K+K hotels. Other representative cross-border transactions include Liao's acquisition of Hein Gericke, one of the top three motorcycle equipment retailers in Germany, as well as ENN Group's acquisition and sale of various photovoltaic (PV) parks in Europe. Ulrich has acted for Dallah Al-Baraka Group on various transactions as well, including the sale of its 21.4% stake in World Sport Group to LeTV. Ulrich is a former scholar of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation. He has written on corporate law matters and is a frequent lecturer at seminars on M&A topics.
