Alex Cull has more than 20 years of experience in M&A and joint ventures, project development, and marketing and trading transactions across the energy industry. He has particular experience in oil and gas, liquefied natural gas (LNG), chemicals/petrochemicals, mining, commodities trading, and renewable and clean energy. Alex has a wealth of industry-specific experience covering almost every facet of the energy value chain, including: strategic corporate transactions such as joint ventures, M&A, farm-ins, and unitizations; major project development, financing, and operations for pipeline, LNG liquefaction and regas (including floating storage regasification units [FSRUs]), refinery, petrochemical, resources, power, and clean energy projects; and on the long-term supply and trading of LNG, crude oil, petroleum products, and metal and mineral commodities. He has also advised on reserves-based, production-linked, trade, and mezzanine lending in the energy and resources industry. Based in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region since 2000, Alex has represented a range of regional and international clients on a variety of transactions across APAC and has also advised regional clients on their outbound investments in Central Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and North America. Alex is an active member of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators and a regular speaker at energy conferences. He has been recognized as a leading energy lawyer in Chambers, The Legal 500, Who's Who Legal, and Best Lawyers publications for many years.
