At the firm, he leads the Montréal Private M&A and General Counsel Group, leads the Montréal Technology Industry Group and co-leads the Canadian Artificial Intelligence Group. He is sought after to lead and coordinate complex transactions in M&A, corporate finance and private equity. Clients also rely on him to act as their trusted external counsel for their ongoing and evolving Canadian operations. In the technology sector, Naïm acts for magic quadrant clients as well as selected startups. Naïm's experience spans key IT and renewable energy acquisitions, reorganizations, investments, financings and commercial agreements, dealing with cloud computing (Iaas, Paas and Saas in public, private or hybrid cloud models), cybersecurity, FinTech, AI, blockchain and smart contracts, as well as related privacy, governance and public procurement issues. He regularly acts for U.S. and other international clients, aiming to work seamlessly with their in-house and external counsel. He was a lead contributor to the firm's Canadian Private M&A Guide, has given multiple presentations on doing business in Canada and Québec, including as part of U.S. consulate conferences in Québec, and on key Canadian legal pitfalls for U.S.-based lawyers. A dedicated mentor, he also enjoys providing continuing legal education presentations on business and technology law, and related privacy and regulatory matters, at large conferences and in personalized client settings. Naïm is the president of the Québec Chapter of the Princeton Alumni Association of Canada, and was previously part of the executive committee of the global Princeton Alumni Council. He is a former corporate director of the ADR Institute of Canada and previously interned at the ICC International Court of Arbitration in Paris.
