John Hughes is a litigation partner in Gordon & Rees’ Oakland and San Francisco offices and is a member of the Environmental/Toxic Tort, Tort & Product Liability Litigation, and Maritime practice groups. He has broad and wide-ranging experience representing clients in state and federal court in product liability, asbestos/toxic tort/environmental, insurance bad faith, Proposition 65, personal injury, maritime, automobile/trucking, class action and unfair competition matters. Representative clients include product manufacturers/suppliers/retailers, hotels, airlines, contractors, equipment rental companies, public entities, assisted living facilities, and lumber producers. As a member of the firm since 1983, Mr. Hughes has tried numerous jury and non-jury cases to verdict, and has successfully handled several matters before the courts of appeal.
