Bio

Matthew Gruenberg is a partner in Goodwin’s Private Equity group. He focuses his practice in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, buyouts, restructurings, control and non-control equity investments, venture capital, growth equity and complex corporate transactions. Mr. Gruenberg has extensive experience in both domestic and cross-border transactions across a range of industries, including government contracting, technology, financial services, healthcare, manufacturing and consumer retail. He represents private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies throughout the lifecycle of their investments, from acquisitions to management and operations through to sales, divestitures, public offerings and other liquidity events. Mr. Gruenberg also advises public and private companies with respect to ongoing corporate matters related to structuring, governance, shareholder and co-investor relations, equity financings and other commercial arrangements.
