Bio

As a member of the firm’s Financial Restructuring & Creditors’ Rights Group, Katharina Earle focuses her practice on corporate restructurings, bankruptcy, and other insolvency-related matters. She regularly represents debtors, creditors, investors, and other interested parties across various industries in both in-court and out-of-court restructurings, including Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 bankruptcy proceedings. In addition, Ms. Earle is a member of the firm’s German Practice group, which is part of the firm’s larger international practice and includes attorneys dedicated to serving clients from Germany, Switzerland, and Austria that have business interests in the United States. In that capacity, Ms. Earle counsels clients ranging from new market entrants to established international companies with businesses around the world. In her prior positions, Ms. Earle regularly assisted German businesses in bankruptcy, restructuring, and general corporate matters. Ms. Earle recently earned the INSOL Foundation Certificate in International Insolvency Law, as part of which she studied various insolvency and bankruptcy regimes from around the world, including Germany, England and Wales, Singapore, and Canada. Ms. Earle currently has the honor of serving on the International Committee of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA), the mission of which is to maximize the global reach and connectivity of TMA and the growth of TMA’s global chapters. Prior to entering private practice, Ms. Earle served as a law clerk to the Honorable Mary F. Walrath and the Honorable Kevin Gross (ret.) at the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. For three semesters during law school, Ms. Earle served as an intern to the Honorable Christopher S. Sontchi (ret.) at the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. Ms. Earle is a member of TMA, the German American Chamber of Commerce, and the Delaware Bankruptcy American Inn of Court.
