Jose Manuel Hernando is a partner in Garrigues' Corporate Law practice and is head of that practice in the Levante area. In the course of his professional activity, José Manuel advises mainly on mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings and financings, and also provides recurring advice on commercial law matters to both privately-held corporate groups and multinational groups. Throughout his professional career he has acquired an in-depth knowledge of various sectors such as real estate, public services, industry, chemicals and particularly in the agri-food sector, where he has extensive experience and the recognition of clients and operators in the sector. José Manuel was an International Visiting Lawyer in the New York office of the US firm Sullivan & Cromwell, where he joined its corporate practice. He also holds an LLM Cum Laude in the Master in Corporate Law at IE (Madrid), where he ranked as the number 1 student in his class. He was recognized with the Jovenes Juristas Award granted by the University of Navarra and the Garrigues Foundation.
