Ricardo Garcia demonstrates his natural talent for deal making in the Firm’s M&A, Private Equity and Corporate Finance practice groups. He is an M&A attorney with deep experience in representing acquirers, sellers and targets in international, cross-border and local, private and public, strategic and competitive, mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and other corporate matters for major commercial entities, private investment funds and family offices. His experience allows Ricardo to identify and focus on the most critical legal aspects of a transaction, and achieve his clients’ specific objectives and strategic agenda. His private investment practice also comprises representing international and local sponsors in performing debt and equity investments, as well as in forming domestic private equity funds tailor-made to address clients’ particular demands. As part of his finance practice, he has represented Mexican and foreign financial institutions and corporate borrowers in connection with domestic and international financial transactions, including leveraged finance, syndicated facilities, and acquisition finance transactions. He has broad expertise and experience in advising both lending and borrowing parties in secured and unsecured cross-border facilities, structuring and implementing Mexican securities’ packages to facilitate clients’ transactions. In addition to providing legal advice for large corporate clients, and concerned about the challenges that certain type of start-ups or non-profit entities may endeavor, Ricardo regularly participates in the pro bono advisory services of the Firm. He graduated from Escuela Libre de Derecho on 2002 and obtained an LL.M. degree in International Business Transactions from University College London on 2005. He is partner of the Firm since 2016. Ricardo has been recognized as an expert lawyer in The Legal 500 2023 Latin American Guide in the Corporate/M&A and TMT practices.
