Bio

Larry Swibel is a founding partner, Chair of the Firm’s Real Estate Group and Managing Partner of the Firm. Larry practices in the areas of real estate, corporate law, restructuring, and hospitality, and specializes in structuring entities for foreign clients doing business in the U.S. He represents clients, both as developers and lenders, in all aspects of the development of hotels, shopping centers, office buildings, theaters and residential properties. In the corporate area, Larry handles mergers and acquisitions as well as advising closely held businesses regarding shareholder agreements, buy-outs and similar transactions. Larry received his B.A. from the University of Rochester. He received his J.D., cum laude, from Vanderbilt University School of Law. Since 2008, he has served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at DePaul Law School in Chicago. Prior to Fox Swibel, Larry practiced 19 years at the former Chicago law firm, Hopkins & Sutter
