Michael Chung serves as outside general counsel to a wide range of entrepreneurs, startups, venture capital-backed companies and emerging growth companies in various sectors, including technology, digital media, e-commerce, fashion, private equity, restaurants, consumer products and design. Angel- and venture-backed companies rely on Michael for guidance on equity and debt financing, founder issues, corporate governance, corporate transactional matters and exit strategies. As outside general counsel, he advises companies on internal and external business transactions; intellectual property development, protection and commercialization; mergers and acquisitions; asset sale and purchases; sales and distribution agreements; software and technology licensing; and compensation strategies.
