Alan is a registered patent attorney with years of experience working with high technology companies to secure protection for their intellectual property. Alan has a technical background spanning various disciplines, including computer architecture, operating systems, compilers, computer software applications, artificial intelligence, and networking. He has extensive experience working with inventors to develop and implement patent protection approaches for highly technical inventions in such areas as computer security, virtualization, distributed computation, natural language processing, data mining, machine learning, information storage and management, cloud computing, telecommunications, and mobile computing. Alan has prepared and successfully prosecuted hundreds of patent applications throughout his career, both domestic and international. In the course of his career, he has taught and mentored many other patent practitioners. In 2016, Alan’s patent group was named as America’s Top Cybersecurity Patent Group by Juristat, a patent analytics firm.
