I specialise in corporate finance, public and private company fundraisings and M&A, joint ventures and reorganisations. With more than 20 years' experience of equity capital markets work, I have acted on several domestic and international IPOs and other fundraisings on AIM, the Main Market and various European stock exchanges. For many years, I was a member of the London Stock Exchange's AIM Advisory Group. I have spoken regularly at influential industry meetings on IPOs and corporate governance and have been quoted in UK national and legal press discussing the structure, advantages and suggestions for reform of the UK capital markets. I also have specific expertise in the real estate sector, having acted on numerous corporate real estate transactions covering a range of asset classes with an emphasis on healthcare, care homes and the pub sector. I have acted for numerous developers and operators of premium care homes and retirement villages in establishing their UK businesses, entering into joint ventures with institutional investors to fund their development pipelines and in the acquisition and disposal of such assets whether through individual or portfolio transactions. Chambers 2019 describes me as "very commercial, pragmatic and constructive". Legal 500 recommends me particularly for my work with small and mid-cap companies, especially in the pharmaceuticals and biotechnology sector, where Fieldfisher's corporate advice is regarded as a "standout speciality".
