María Luisa González-Hernández is a Shareholder in the Corporate Division of Fiddler, González & Rodríguez, P.S.C. Ms. González-Hernández is a member of the Environmental Practice Group and the Energy Practice Group. During her extensive career, Ms. González-Hernández has advised, managed, negotiated, and resolved environmental, natural resources, and land use cases and matters at local and federal administrative forums and in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico courts. She is active in adjudicative, administrative and rulemaking proceedings before the Environmental Quality Board, the Department of Natural and Environmental Resources, the Aqueduct and Sewers Authority, the Planning Board and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, as well as in judicial review proceedings. She has broad experience in matters pertaining to the Clean Air Act and its New Source Review Program, Clean Water Act and the Water Quality Certificate proceedings, Asbestos Abatement, Wetlands and Coastal Zone Management regulatory requirements, Solid Waste and Superfund Compliance Issues, Environmental Due Diligences in corporate sales and acquisitions, Environmental Impact Statement Review Proceedings, and Land Use and Zoning Aspects. Ms. González-Hernández co-authored the Puerto Rico Environmental Law Handbook, published by Government Institutes, Inc., and the Guidelines for Compliance with Environmental Law in Puerto Rico for the Puerto Rico Manufacturers Association.
