Nathan Powell work focuses on healthcare, and includes business transactions, regulatory compliance, real estate, and employment law. His practice combines these generally distinct service areas to create a unique, full service multidisciplinary practice for healthcare providers such as physicians, medical groups, ambulatory surgery centers, hospitals, clinics, dentists, physical therapists, and others. He assists clients with entity formation and maintenance, general business counseling, contracts, leases, purchase agreements, buy-sell agreements, operating agreements and related documents. Nathan also counsels clients on healthcare-specific issues, including consent, privacy, Anti-Kickback, Stark, False Claims Act, HIPAA, and related matters. He also assists healthcare providers in structuring their business transactions and relationships in compliance with the complex federal and state regulatory framework. Nathan counsels employers on day-to-day issues involving discipline, termination, leaves of absence, wage and hour, harassment and discrimination investigations and other employment related issues, as well as matters related to the Department of Fair Employment and Housing, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the California Labor Commissioner.
