Ananthram Ganesh is an Associate Partner at ELP and a part of the firm’s Corporate & Commercial and Private Equity practices. He has also been involved in various private equity, mergers and acquisitions, and capital markets transactions. Ananthram has advised various domestic and overseas clients, including a number of Fortune 500 companies on corporate, commercial, technology and intellectual property laws. He has worked across sectors including information technology, telecommunications, hospitality, life sciences and pharmaceuticals, and healthcare, and biotechnology. He has also been involved in drafting a wide variety of business contracts for such clients. Ananthram has advised on the acquisition of shares, assets, projects, and businesses of listed and unlisted targets, including on structuring, regulatory approvals, compliances, as well as other transactional support. He has also drafted and negotiated a wide range of transaction documents such as investment agreements, shareholders’ agreements, subscription agreements, joint venture agreements, asset purchase agreements, business transfer agreements, and other ancillary transaction documents. He has represented various issuers and underwriters in relation to initial public offerings, qualified institutional placements, and public offerings of debt securities by Indian companies. Prior to joining ELP, Ananthram worked at Aarna Law, Bangalore, and AZB & Partners, Bangalore, where he worked on private equity, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, general corporate advisory, technology law and intellectual property law. He holds an engineering degree in Biotechnology from Vishveshwaraiah Technological University, and holds an LL.B degree with specialization in Intellectual Property Law from IIT Kharagpur.
