Nakul Batra is a corporate, commercial and transactional lawyer and is part of the General Corporate practice group in our firm’s New Delhi office. Nakul is also a computer science engineer and has worked with one of India’s major IT giants as a software developer. Having earned a bachelor’s degree in technology and being a corporate lawyer, he brings on the table a blend of understanding in technology and legal expertise for our clients. His practice mainly consists of acting for companies, promoters, investors, corporate clients etc., on a wide range of domestic and cross- border transactions including acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, mergers, restructuring, private equity and strategic investments, primary and secondary equity issues and rendering legal advice on day to day corporate matters and matters in relation to intellectual property law. Apart from transaction and corporate advisory work, he routinely advises corporate and clients on various industry sectors (such as dairy, healthcare, renewable energy, credit rating, payment systems and technology) on entry, exit and presence in the Indian market and other general corporate matters under Indian laws.
