Joe Champion is an international gaming lawyer and a member of the Corporate and Public Policy and Regulation practice groups providing transactional and regulatory advice to gaming companies, professional athletes, highly regulated businesses, and governmental entities. A former prosecutor who tried several hundred cases, Joe served as special counsel to the Speaker of the Indiana House and was responsible for drafting gaming laws which included dockside gaming, problem gaming awareness and restructuring of gaming taxes. Joe’s clients through the last 20-plus years include casino operators, gaming technology companies from around the world (including startups), governmental and tribal entities, professional sports athletes, collegiate coaches, world-record and gold medal Olympians, and country music talent.
