Bio

Abel Lezcano represents a wide range of entertainment companies and sports leagues (international and domestic), writers, producers, directors, actors, comedians, and other on‐camera talent across the entertainment industry. Additionally, Abel specializes in high‐level entertainment executive employment agreements and leads his law firm’s Latinx practice area. Abel began his career in entertainment as a legal and business affairs executive for the network television department of The Walt Disney Studios. With this background, Abel brings immense insight to crafting agreements that are structured for results, tailored towards client specifications, and positioned for timely execution. Thanks to a thoroughly collaborative approach to deal‐making, Abel’s professional success lies in the creation and fostering of productive relationships that help his clients navigate an evolving and increasingly complex industry. Fluent in Spanish and English, Abel is fortunate to work alongside some of the most talented and diverse lawyers in the industry, each with unique perspectives and areas of specialty. As a result, his clients benefit greatly from a company culture that shares its collective expertise and rich network of strong relationships across the sector. In concert with his professional endeavors, Abel has been actively involved in youth sports as a coach and administrator for over 30 years on the local, regional and national levels. He currently serves as a board member for US Soccer’s Urban Soccer Commission, which is committed to bringing opportunities to children in traditionally underserved communities. Abel is the past Chairman of StreetSoccerUSA and currently serves on its National and Los Angeles Advisory Boards. Abel currently serves as the Vice Chairman and Chairman of the National Hispanic Media Coalition (NHMC). Abel also mentors students at USC’s Gould School of Law. Lastly, Abel is a co‐owner of the Chicago Red Stars and serves as the Co‐Chairman of the Club’s Advisory Board. He enjoys fishing in Northern Wisconsin with his family and cheering on Arsenal, LAFC, the Cubs and his beloved Northwestern Wildcats.
