Pieter Capiau is an acclaimed corporate partner whose practice focuses on providing strategic counsel to European and United States venture capital sponsors and technology companies. Pieter has experience on the full range of corporate law matters, including equity growth investments, strategic mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, joint ventures, and management equity plans, as well as related advisory work. Pieter also counsels companies on technology strategy and monetization, including sophisticated IP-based transactions. Chambers Global, Chambers Europe, Legal500 and IFLR1000 consistently recommend Pieter as leading lawyer for Corporate and M&A, Banking, Finance and Capital Markets, and Information Technology. Prior to starting Cambrian in 2021, Pieter was a founding partner at Cresco. Pieter obtained his master of law at UA and obtained postgraduate degrees in corporate law (KUL), business law (UA), corporate finance (KUL) and venture capital (UCLA).
