Fred Levy has over 35 years of experience practicing in all aspects of corporate law. He has vast experience in the M&A field and has represented clients in over 300 mergers, acquisitions, dispositions and similar transactions, both domestically and internationally. In addition, Fred has represented both domestic and offshore companies in their financing requirements, in transactions ranging from several hundred thousand to over three billion dollars. Fred typically represents middle market and emerging growth companies across a wide range of industries including media, manufacturing & distribution, and networking & IT infrastructure, as well as Fortune 100 companies in a variety of commercial endeavors. He guides clients in establishing strategic alliances and in negotiating a wide array of commercial contracts, complex shareholder agreements, and financing arrangements and workouts. Currently, Fred serves as outside general counsel to many of his clients.Fred leads Brown Rudnick’s Fund and Formation Practice Group. For the past 25 years, Fred has advised clients in the formation, governance, and administration of hedge funds and private equity funds. Fred has formed many domestic and non-domestic funds, advising such funds on choice of law and related tax issues. Fred regularly counsels private company clients on employment matters with its key executives and management teams and leads the Brown Rudnick team in advising such clients on compensation, bonus, and severance issues.
