Ryan Kitcat is a Partner in our Corporate Department, and a member of the Mergers & Acquisitions practice, currently based in our Dar es Salaam office. Ryan specialises in public and private M&A and general corporate and commercial law. He has advised JSE-listed and multinational clients on a variety of local and cross-border transactions. He has worked in particular in the energy & natural resources, education, mining, insurance, hospitality, private security, and telecoms tower sectors. His expertise extends to corporate governance, empowerment and local content, reorganisations, shareholder activism and takeovers. In 2018 Ryan went on a Stronger Together secondment to the London office of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. In 2019 Ryan completed the course Impact Investing in Africa through the Graduate School of Business at the University of Cape Town.
