Naqeeba Hassan is a partner in the Corporate Department of our Cape Town office and a member of the Mergers and Acquisitions Practice. Naqeeba specialises in general corporate and commercial law and mergers and acquisitions. She has acted for a variety of clients in the public and private sectors, including listed entities and unlisted corporations, private equity funds, asset managers, property developers and financial institutions. Naqeeba’s experience includes advising clients on M&A, black economic empowerment transactions, corporate re-organisations and restructures, as well as advising on regulatory compliance issues pertaining to corporate governance and mergers and acquisitions transactions. In addition, Naqeeba is experienced in drafting a number of commercial documents and leading legal due diligence investigations in respect of M&A transactions in a wide range of industries. Naqeeba has BA (International Relations and Law) and LLB (cum laude) degrees from the University of the Witwatersrand.
