Robin Burns practice covers a broad range of commercial and transactional work, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, private equity and institutional investments. Robin has experience acting for domestic and international clients in a variety of industries, such as food and beverage (including the plant-based and alternative proteins sector), technology and life sciences. In addition, she routinely provides pro-bono legal advice to a number of charitable and not-for-profit organizations. In 2018, Robin completed a secondment within the medical device division of a large multinational life sciences company, where she advised on commercial arrangements and acted as the Canadian project manager on a global divestiture of the company's blood glucose monitoring business to private equity.
