Bio

Elizabeth M. Repetti focuses her practice on banking and financial services, creditors' rights and bankruptcy, and real estate. Elizabeth has practiced at Bell, Davis & Pitt since 1992. Prior to that, she worked at a small law firm in Winston-Salem, and a large, international firm in Washington, D.C. Elizabeth’s usual representation of lending institutions has given rise to many situations where she has looked back and been able to see a successful result for her clients as a direct consequence of her involvement and direction in the matter. Those cases – involving matters as disparate as attachment of funds, to wading through a complex set of facts and circumstances – are the reason that her legal career has been so gratifying. Elizabeth is currently on the board of the Sawtooth Center for Visual Arts. She previously served on the board of Brenner Children’s Hospital, Saint Paul’s Place to Stay, and the Kappa Kappa Gamma local alumni organization. Elizabeth had also served as chair and a member of the Bankruptcy Section of the North Carolina Bar Association. She will also be a Vice President of the North Carolina Bar Association Board of Governors beginning a two year term in the Summer of 2018. Born in Colorado Springs, Elizabeth attended the University of Colorado on a snow skiing scholarship which, surprisingly enough, turned out to be the main topic of discussion when interviewing for starting associate positions in Washington, D.C. after law school. She moved to North Carolina in 1980 and attended the Wake Forest Law School from 1983 to 1986. Her hobbies have included running marathons, teaching boot camp, and taking art classes.
