Cleburne Gregory is a partner and the longtime head of AGG’s Tax practice. Best Lawyers named Greg “2011 Lawyer of the Year” for tax law in Atlanta. Greg focuses his practice on representing clients in the tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions and working extensively in almost all aspects of domestic corporate, partnership, and corporation taxation, as well as the taxation of specialized entities such as real estate investment trusts (REITs). His practice also includes advising on nonqualified executive compensation and other forms of executive compensation for both public and private companies. In addition, Greg has worked extensively with foreign investors in the United States, particularly investments in U.S. real estate, and advises clients regarding outbound investments and cross-border acquisitions.
