Stephen left high school at 16 to become an apprentice accountant in a number of companies before joining a division of the Ford Motor Company and subsequently moving to the US. After Ford Stephen became Vice President of Finance and later President of MacDermid a $1Bn industrial company. After eight years at MacDermid, Stephen joined a family office in Denver focused on industrial investments before starting Yorkshire Equity.
