Joe Atencio Bio

Joe joined Yellow Wood Partners in 2016. He brings over 40 years in private equity, operating executive experience, and investment banking. Previously, Joe was Chief Executive Officer of ChemAid Laboratories, a premier formulator and manufacturer of high-performance, premium hair care and skin/body care products for branded personal care customers. Prior to ChemAid Labs, he served as CFO and Executive Vice President at Cosmetic Essence, Inc. Joe began his career and spent fifteen years as an investment banker with Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette most recently as Managing Director and Co-Head of the Consumer Products Group. Joe received a BS in Accounting, magna cum laude, from Georgetown University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
