Sam Saintonge has over 15 years of experience investing in the water sector. His industry experience, expertise and broad network enables XPV to partner with the most innovative water-related companies and, once invested, helps them realize on their strategic visions. Sam has been involved in sourcing, performing diligence, and closing more than 20 water industry transactions, including both direct investments by XPV as well as acquisitions by our portfolio companies. He has written and presented on topics including utility resiliency, digital water transformation, and trends in wastewater treatment. Sam received a BBA in Finance and Economics from Bishop’s University. He was awarded the Undergraduate Prize in Economics, the University Prize in Business Administration (Finance), the P.H. Cowen Memorial Prize in Entrepreneurship, the B. Fellows Award in Business Administration, and the H. Fripp Prize in Entrepreneurship. He was also named the Student Leader of the Year by Enactus Canada. A former hockey goalie, Sam is now an avid long-distance runner. Sam and his wife Robyn enjoy driving through North America, exploring national parks, cities and of course, the odd water or wastewater treatment plant.
