John Bullock Bio

John is a founding partner of Windspeed Ventures and has served as managing partner since its inception. John brings more than 20 years of experience in the high-tech communications sector to the firm. At Windspeed he was the lead manager of the 250 company Comdisco Portfolio, as well as the main interface with several startup investments. Prior to joining Windspeed, John was an early (pre-revenue) member of Wellfleet Communications, a leading internet networking pioneer. There he was responsible for building the service organization, including creating a profit center that went from $0 to over $90 million in annual revenue. He was then chartered with managing the combining of two independent service organizations as part of the overall Wellfleet/Synoptics merger forming Bay Networks, and continued at Bay Networks as business director, responsible for business development, sales, marketing, and strategy for the $150 million worldwide service organization. Before Wellfleet John was a software development engineer at Codex/Motorola Corp., developing wide-area data communications products. John holds a BS in Computer Science from Fitchburg State University.
