JT Townsend Bio

JT joined Windjammer in 2019, where his primary focus is working with the portfolio companies to drive organic growth with involvement in the operational evaluation and due diligence of investment opportunities. Prior to joining Windjammer, JT was the President of Gems Sensors and Controls and the previous General Manager of Anderson-Negele. Each Company is a wholly owned subsidiary within the Sensing Techology Group of Fortive Corporation, a Fortune 500 spin-out of Danaher Corporation. During his 10-year career at Fortive / Danaher, JT held positions in general management, strategic marketing, M&A and product development. JT's first commercial role was in business development for ClickShift, a venture-backed, online marketing firm sold to Webtrends. JT served 7 years in the U.S. Army as a Ranger-qualified officer, including two combat tours in Iraq.
