Robert Knibb Bio

Mr. Knibb is a Partner and Co-Founder at Washington Equity Partners. Prior to Washington Equity, Mr. Knibb was a founding General Partner at Arlington Capital Partners, a middle market private equity firm focused on Aerospace/Defense, Business Services, Government Contracting, and Healthcare. Mr. Knibb co-founded Arlington Capital in 1999 and served on its Investment Committee throughout his tenure at the firm. While at Arlington Capital, Mr. Knibb was active in all of the firm's core industry verticals and oversaw the deployment of over $1 billion of equity capital. Prior to co-founding Arlington Capital, Mr. Knibb was a senior member of the deal team at MacAndrews & Forbes Holdings in New York from 1985 to 1998. While at MacAndrews & Forbes, Mr. Knibb was an industry generalist and his areas of investment activity included Industrial Services and Manufacturing, Business and Technology Services, and Healthcare. Mr. Knibb currently sits on the Board of Directors of Accu-Tube, Arc Drilling, and Tube Bending, and has served on the boards of directors, or had equivalent roles as a fiduciary, at over 20 portfolio companies at Arlington Capital and MacAndrews & Forbes. He holds a Top Secret security clearance. Mr. Knibb earned an MBA from Columbia University School of Business and graduated magna cum laude from Union College with a BS in Mathematics. In addition, Mr. Knibb earned his CFA in 1986.
