Mitchell Resnick Bio

Mitchell Resnick is the President of Walker & Dunlop Investment Partners. Based in Philadelphia, Mr. Resnick leads the team and is responsible for setting its overall strategy.  He joined Walker & Dunlop in 2016 and was the Treasurer of the firm prior to assuming his new role at WDIP in 2022. Before joining Walker & Dunlop, Mr. Resnick was with Freddie Mac in McLean, VA for five years where he led the Multifamily Capital Markets team.  In addition to overseeing all multifamily loan pricings, he further developed Freddie Mac’s K program which continues to be the main funding and risk transfer tool used by Freddie Mac Multifamily.  Prior to Freddie, he was with Goldman Sachs for 15 years.  During this time, he worked in a number of areas including real estate investment banking, commodities trading and mortgage trading.  He split his time between New York & London. Mr. Resnick has guest lectured at various universities on the east coast including American, Georgetown, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Rutgers and Virginia.  He has served on a number of industry organization boards and is currently a board member at the Rehoboth Beach Chamber of Commerce.  He lives in Lewes, DE with his wife and three children. Mr. Resnick received a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.
