Kimberly Schmitz is a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager for the debt team of WDIP. In her role, Mrs. Schmitz is responsible for originating and closing fixed and floating rate commercial property financing opportunities (primarily first mortgage and mezzanine) for mortgage banking and direct borrower clients nationwide. Mrs. Schmitz is also responsible for maintaining the portfolios with the various programmatic ventures within WDIP. She joined WDIP in 2014 and is currently based out of the firm’s Denver office. Prior to joining WDIP, Mrs. Schmitz served as Vice President at Rockwood Real Estate Advisors, where she specialized in real estate debt and equity underwriting, portfolio and asset management, property dispositions, and real estate advisory services. Mrs. Schmitz began her career at Rockwood focusing on the hospitality sector and expanded into all major asset classes, performing strategic fund advisory representing $10.5+ billion of real estate, investment sales brokerage of $750 million in total value, and other advisory service for an additional $1.1 billion of hotel, multifamily, office, senior housing, and retail assets. Mrs. Schmitz earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University.
