Dan Groman Bio

Dan Groman is the executive vice president, general counsel, secretary, and chief compliance officer at Walker & Dunlop, based in Bethesda, Maryland. He was Walker & Dunlop’s interim general counsel, secretary, and chief compliance officer starting in May 2024, before assuming his current role in November 2024. Prior to this, he was senior vice president, deputy general counsel and assistant secretary beginning in 2012, having joined the company as associate general counsel and assistant secretary in November 2011. Before joining Walker & Dunlop, Mr. Groman served as associate general counsel and assistant corporate secretary at Freddie Mac and was an associate at Arnold & Porter LLP. Mr. Groman earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland and his Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law.
