Timothy Mooney Bio

Tim Mooney is a Managing Partner and Global Head of Real Estate. Tim is responsible for real estate investments across all markets, including lending, capital solutions and the acquisition of assets and real estate-related companies. He is a member of the firm’s Investment Committee. Based in New York since 2023, he joined the firm in 2005, was named Partner in 2016 and has also worked out of the firm’s Minneapolis, London and Singapore offices. Prior to joining Värde, Tim was an attorney at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft in New York where he was a member of the financial restructuring group. Tim earned a BSFS from Georgetown University, a J.D. from the University of Chicago and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
