John Baumgardner Bio

John Baumgardner is a Managing Director focused on private credit investment opportunities related to securitizations, fund finance and bank balance sheet solutions, including credit risk transfer. Based in Minneapolis, he joined the firm in 2011 and has been involved in a variety of investing strategies at Värde. He previously covered publicly traded opportunities focused on dislocations across liquid structured products, banking securities and real estate securities. He has also invested in opportunistic and distressed real estate strategies in private markets. Prior to joining Värde, John was an analyst at Citi, where he provided mergers and acquisitions and other corporate finance advisory services.  John received a B.B.A. in Finance from The University of Notre Dame.
