Greg Berman Bio

Greg Berman is a Managing Director and Head of the Product Specialist team within Business Development & Investor Relations. Based in New York, he rejoined Värde in 2024 after being with the firm from 2020 to 2022. Prior to returning to Värde, Greg was the Head of Portfolio and Product Specialists at Altum Capital Management, a global hedge fund focused on structured credit. Greg previously served as Co-Head of Hedge Fund Research at Investcorp, Global Head of Credit Hedge Fund Strategies at Lyxor Asset Management, was a strategy head at Allianz Alternative Asset Management, and served as an investment banker focused on structured credit products at Bear Stearns and Jefferies. Greg holds a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, an M.B.A. from Columbia University, and is a CFA Charterholder.
