Julie Zhang is a Vice President of Tax. Julie oversees tax function at Vivo Capital, including global tax compliance and transaction support. Julie has over 20 years of tax advisory and management experience in the PE/VC industry, with broad technical knowledge on key jurisdiction tax regimes, mergers and acquisitions, and cross-border investment transactions related tax issues. Prior to joining Vivo Capital, Julie worked as an International and M&A tax director in Deloitte China and a M&A tax manager in PwC US, where she advised US and China PE/VC funds on setup and inbound/outbound investment structuring. She was the key author of the China tax industry edition of “Private Equity and Venture Capital Fund in China”, published by CCH and Deloitte’s publication of “China Mergers, Acquisitions and Reorganization Tax Guide”. Julie received her B.S from Shanghai Jiaotong University and M.S in Accounting from Bentley University.
