Michael Cacciaguida brings over 30 years of expertise in sponsor (client) and institutional financing solutions. For more than two decades, he was a key player at Champion Mortgage, ultimately rising to the position of President and CEO. During his tenure, he spearheaded the development of a robust business model and cultivated a sales culture that emphasized client satisfaction and talent retention. Under his leadership, Champion Mortgage was acquired by Fortress Investment Group from KeyBank, a transition he adeptly managed while overseeing a workforce of 750 employees. Before joining US Capital Global, Mr. Cacciaguida served as Vice President of Capital Markets for New Degree Growth, a family office with a portfolio of over 100 companies. His career also includes roles as Regional Vice President of Castle & Cooke Mortgage, Managing Partner at Cass Partners LLC, and Senior Vice President at the Federal Savings Bank. From 2008 to 2019, Mr. Cacciaguida ventured into various entrepreneurial and investment opportunities, focusing on sectors such as artificial intelligence, education, oxygenated bottled water, and paper products. Notably, between 2012 and 2015, he was the Director of Capital Markets at Vecron Lordstock Group, a boutique project finance firm. There, he leveraged his extensive network to secure solutions from leading institutional firms on Wall Street for diverse projects in real estate, energy, aircraft, and technology. Mr. Cacciaguida holds an Executive M.B.A. from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, and a B.A. in Business Administration and Management from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida. Married for over 30 years, Mr. Cacciaguida is a dedicated parent to four children. After college, he began his professional career as a baseball player for the Toronto Blue Jays’ minor league team. In his leisure time, he enjoys tennis, golf, and pickleball.
